Lys Guillorn record release show 11/9 @ Heirloom Arts Theater

Lys Guillorn is back with a new LP called "Winged Victory" and a release show for the album on November 9th at The Heirloom Arts Theater in Danbury!

The music Lys makes gets better and more refined as she makes more and more of it. "Winged Victory" is easily the most polished and accessible of her albums so far. Beginning with the sweet and swelling "Silver", this album is jam packed with soulful singing and playing. "How To Cook A Wolf" is a folk-country single if I have ever heard one. Poppy, full of attitude and lush vocals. The title track is another strong stand out with fantastic guitar work and beautifully sung vocals.
"Yemaya" also stands out for its old time rock n' roll and slow, somewhat "darker" vocal melodies. There's a mean solo in this track too! "Blindness" is breathtaking, utterly gorgeous instrumentation and affecting vocals. "Ghost Child" closes out the album with somber vibrato vocals, gorgeous organ and some light horn work. Lys always makes tasteful, classy music but I feel she really outdid herself this time! Pick up a copy of this new album at The Heirloom Arts Theater on November 9th, where Lys will be joined by Jonny Rodgers and Them Damn Hamiltons!
