Big ass show this weekend deep in New Preston. If you haven't been to New Preston it's really quite something, and this is a perfect opportunity as there are awesome bands playing, and it will also be Hubbell Mountain's last show for the foreseeable future!
Awesome concert coming up Monday at Anna Liffey's, with Violent Mae and Space Orphans. Joining them are out-of-towners Dumb Waiter and Night Idea.
Violent Mae have a new track/video for their song Man in the Country, recorded deep inside a cave that is in an undisclosed CT location. Looks eerily familiar doesn't it?
According to their bandcamp: "This track was recorded in an old abandoned mining cave at an
undisclosed location in Connecticut in the middle of winter. The sound
of the cave was used to produce the track with everything from the water
drips to a very low and long reverb. A film crew shot the performance
which can be seen on youtube."

This past spring a band called Violent Mae sent us a track to premier called "Hole In My Heart". It was and still is a stellar track that covers so many bases musically and stylistically that it's kind of intimidating. Sometimes a band will come out with a song and tease that they could be the best band you have ever heard. Sometimes a band will make that level of promise to you. Only through hard work, determination, a discerning ear and a little luck could a band like Violent Mae make an album that lives up to the potential promised in their first single "Hole In My Heart". Luckily all of those things have clearly come to pass.
Becky Kessler & Floyd Kellogg are pretty well known CT names in their own right, so to find out they have been toiling on a new LP together is wonderful news! They have chosen a band name, Violent Mae. They have also been so kind as to choose CTINDIE to premier their first single from the upcoming LP, and we are pleased to bring you "Hole In My Heart".
