Meet Will Cole from Lamb Bombs

Below is an interview with Will Cole from the band Lamb Bombs!

Where are you?
Will Cole - Old Saybrook, Connecticut: “Where the River Meets The Sound.”
How would you best describe the Lamb Bombs?
Will Cole  - Misinformed Art-Punk? A.D.D. Rock ‘n Roll? Bi-Polar Prog-Punk? After all these years, I’m still debating this one.
You guys have been around for some time now. Do you have any advice to the youngin’s who are struggling to keep a band together?
Will Cole - If you’re still having fun, it’s worth it to work towards keeping the band alive, momentum is key! As well, it’s always good to have some new songs to shake up practices and set lists. A little challenge here and there helps sharpen the band and keeps things interesting. Ive seen you play house shows, bars, clubs, basements, I’ve even seen you play in a garage. Where would you say is your all-time favorite place to play? I do not have an all-time favorite place to play, so far. As long as there is a group of people in front of us, and they are into our set, we are in the bet place to play at that moment.
The Who or Grand Funk Railroad?
Will Cole - As much as I have preached the majesty of Grand Funk’s “Red Album,” for years, I have to go with The Who as the better all-around rock band. The Who has a way more significant catalog of good stuff compared to Grand Funk Railroad. Let’s face it, Grand Funk steadily lost its “Red Album” edge over the following few years after its release. However, I have to say, I cannot think of a Who album that shreds as badass as the “Red Album.” That hot era of Grand Funk is like MC5 meets Motown. Alas, The Who is still the better band.
What are your top 5 favorite records?
Will Cole - Here’s 6… Dead Kennedys-“Plastic Surgery Disasters”, ,Melvins- “Hostile Ambient Takeover”, Alice Donut-“Bucketfuls of Sickness and Horror in an Otherwise Meaningless Life”, Butthole Surfers-“Widowermaker E.P.” Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention- “One Size Fits All”, Aerosmith-“Rocks”
What does the future hold for The Lamb Bombs?
Will Cole - More shows, more songs, and some overdue recordings.
What is your drink of choice?

Will Cole - Beers of varying qualities and types… no particular favorite. As for cocktails: Bourbon and Coke (as long as the soda gun cola doesn’t taste like baby-aspirin) and Margaritas (made with the right ingredients).
Who are some of your favorite Connecticut bands past or present?
Will Cole -Battlecats, Carlos Projeckt, The Vultures, Suicide Dolls, Fatal Film, Horns Of Ormus, Bedroom Rehab Corporation, Lost Riots, Night of the Rabbit, Wrist Like This, Electric Bucket, Horse Feathers.
Would you like to give any shoutouts?
Will Cole - “Hi, everybody in Marble Falls! Hi, Billy! Hi, Maggie! Hi, Fishface! How do I look?”
