Julie Peel Touring

June 2009, by Benjamin Wahiche

American Laundromat Records indie-folk artist Julie Peel left on tour beginning on October 1st. She has European and US dates throughout autumn. This will be Julie’s second tour in support of her critically-acclaimed debut album “Near The Sun.” The album has earned Julie rave reviews, an early invitation to showcase at SXSW, placements in television shows such as NBC’s Mercy and CBS’s Life Unexpected, and opening support invites from artists such as Joe Purdy, Tanya Donelly, and Dar Williams.

Julie Peel is a French born, self-taught multi-instrumentalist that writes smart well-crafted folk rock with a pop sensibility reminiscent of Aimee Mann, Neil Young, Cat Power, Beth Orton, and Feist.
