Bowen Arrow : A band to keep on your radar.

Shaun Bowen has done it again. First he had it with grunge punks Murdervan before flying solo after Murdervan took a hiatus a year or so ago. Now he is back in another powerful three piece band known as Bowen Arrow.

As one of New Haven’s most prolific guitarists it didn’t take him long to keep a good thing down. Bowen Arrow consists of Shaun Bowen on Vocals, Joe Scialla on drums, and Kevin Brownell on bass.

The band is heavy; they are loud, and driven by Shaun Bowen’s guitar and snarly vocals that will bring you back to bands like Husker Du, and the early days of Sub Pop Records and to a time where the line was blurred between metal and punk and the pop sensibility of bands like Kiss and The Who.

The band has released 2 demos on their bandcamp page ("Sorry Means Nothing” and “Dig”), and are a band to keep on the radar. They have been busy writing new stuff on almost a daily basis and knowing Shaun it’s going to be tremendous.

Check out Bowen Arrow and see why Shaun is one of the most sought after guitarists in New Haven. Also get to a Bowen Arrow show as soon as possible because this band will go on tour and probably get discovered.
