Dysrhythmia, Pilgrim and Cold Snap get ready to decimate Cafe Nine on 4/27

Friday April 27, 2012 Dysrhythmia Pilgrim Cold Snap Cafe Nine 250 State Street New Haven, CT 9pm - $8 - 21+ Come join us for this celebration of metal and hardcore in it's many twisted forms. Dysrhythmia, which features Kevin Hufnagel (guitar), Colin Marston (bass) and Jeff Eber (drums) have been waving the flag for out-there, technical, avant garde metal for over 10 years. Their most recent album was "Psychic Maps", put out by Relapse in 2009. Right now they are working on a new album for new label Profound Lore and hope to have it out in the Fall. Look for some more mind blowing musical acrobatics from the band on the new album and live where they promise to electrify Cafe Nine.

Pilgrim, from Providence, Rhode Island, play straight up doom metal that references all the masters - Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Reverend Bizarre and Pentagram - but puts their own spin on this venerable form of music. Recently signed to the Metal Blade imprint, Poison Tongue, which is run by Primordial's Alan Averill, the trio of The Wizard (guitar), Count Elric The Soothsayer (bass) and Krolg, The Slayer Of Man (drums), just released their new record "Misery Wizard" and look to bring to their doom to all who appreciate it far and wide. Another can't miss band for fans of the heavy stuff.

Opening will be Connecticut post-hardcore ragers Cold Snap, who will open with a set of electrifying, noisy sounds and the unpredictable antics of lead singer Jack, while the rest of the band, Mario (guitar), Al (drums) and Ben (bass) churns out some cool sounds. Definitely get there early, and make sure you check out this most Connecticut band. If it helps, we here at CT Indie give them the thumbs up, shouldn't that be enough for you? Well, it should!
