Hailing from Long Island/Brooklyn New York, UNEARTHLY TRANCE formed in 2000. Founding members Ryan (Rion) Lipynsky and Jay Newman started with the idea of a 'Metaphysical Funeral Pyre'. Like a Phoenix Undead, UNEARTHLY TRANCE instantly gained attention due to the heavy atmospheric riffs laced with viciously attacking vocals. After hearing UT's original demo tape "SonicBurialHymns", Southern Lord Recording’s Greg Anderson quickly released the debut 7" ep "Lord Humanless Awakens" for the 7" of Doom series. Within a year, UNEARTHLY TRANCE put themselves on the map and into the subconscious of the underground metal scene. Relapse Records

UNEARTHLY TRANCE’s brand new album V is currently streaming in its entirety online now via Stereogum.

Hailing from Sweden, Suma do NOT fuck around – they mean BUSINESS, and their business is cracking your skull WIDE open with their sheer, unrelenting, massive HEAVINESS. Imagine The Melvins' 'Lysol' being played at you full-blast through a wind-tunnel full of Dark Matter; THAT heavy. Throne Records

Throne is putting out a SUMA / UNEARTHLY TRANCE / "COLLABORATION" 12" EP + CD:
Each side of this record features the other band's vocalist along with some contributing noise from the other band. This unique idea all came together very spontaneously and it serves as a document of true exploration and experiment of the unknown forces of control. The results are very exciting and unlike anything each band has done. This collaboration somehow morphed the two bands together in an unprecedented yet very pleasing way. This vinyl / cd is meant to commemorate their forthcoming USA tour in the fall 2010 where the band will share the stage with each other once again.

"Sleepwalking Through A Maze" consists of music that Suma recorded in Malmo and sent to Ryan Lipynsky in Brooklyn where he recorded his words for his vocals.
Unearthly Trance tracked their music for "Victim No. 581" in NYC and Brooklyn and was then sent to Jovan were he promptly returned the track back with his vocals and sounds added.

The other track "Month of Treatment" is a harsh noise track that each member of UT recorded a "layer" and was sent to SUMA. Jovan tracked his voice and more noise was conjured up in Sweden. All of this was compiled by Jay Newman of UT who subsequently mixed all of the songs. Then finally mastered by Ryan of UT.
The whole recording project was spawned out of the loose concept of the mysterious lore of the black operation knows as MK ULTRA and the artwork reflects that.

Based in Connecticut, Pristina features ex-members of a diverse list of Northeast bands, including Dry Kill Logic, 100 Demons, Invocation Of Nehek, A Thousand Falling Skies, Born Under Saturn, and more. Revitalizing the best elements of the 90’s metallic hardcore boom, Pristina lays down the gauntlet with a menacing sound that is equally dark, driving, and hypnotic. Revolver Magazine has described Pristina as “a chaotic surge of hardcore intimidation, atonal riff bombardment, and sound-collage psych ops.”

Stone Titan describe themselves as "Mt. Everest getting fucked by Cthulhu." Gotta love a good ol' reference to Cthulhu. Psychedelic Doom band from South Windsor, CT. They also have a show Monday, October 4 at Whitney House
