Connecticut has one of the most thriving punk scenes in the country. It’s full of support and is known to bring in bands from out of state to play with tremendous local bands. This summer alone, The Virus and Union 13 graced our fine state.

CTIndie.com Summer Mix 2013 - q-90

OK! So after a week of labor, the new CTIndie.com Summer Mix is finally complete. To say the submission level was overwhelming is an understatement. We simply cannot BELIEVE how many submissions we received for this mix. Last year, we received submissions from 35 CT bands to make D60, the 2012 Summer Mix (named for being 2 hours long, or "double" 60 minutes). This year we received a staggering number of tracks from 90 bands. So, after compiling just over 5 hours of music, we present to you q-90: the quadruple CD, 90 track CTIndie.com Summer Mix 2013!

BRAZEN HUSSY

On stage, singer Sara Florek has that same charismatic charm and “I don’t give a shit” swagger as Liam Gallagher. She stares into the abyss with a larger than life attitude through a Brazen Hussy set full of pop, garage, and punk songs that will leave you sweaty, unworthy, and begging for more. 

Rave On: A Tribute to The Reducers: Vol. 1, a 24 track tribute to New London, CT's The Reducers hits September 22

The Reducers rocked CT for 34 amazing years. They are the true definition of Independent. Some awesome people got together to compile a tribute album to one of the best local CT bands to ever grace a stage.

CTIndie Summer Mix Tape(s): D60!

IT'S FINALLY HERE! The CTIndie Summer Mix Tape is here, and it is so big we had to make it 2 tapes. After whittling it down to one song per band we got submissions from 35 CT bands! A 120 minute runtime makes this Double 60 minute tapes, or D60 for short.
